1. Unstable extrusion volume:
It may be due to uneven feeding, such as fluctuations in feeding speed, blockage of feed port, uneven size of raw material particles, etc.; it may also be caused by wear of the extruder screw, unstable screw speed, or uneven barrel heating temperature.
2. Plastic scorching:
If the barrel temperature is too high, the screw speed is too fast, the gap between the screw and the barrel is too small, or the material stays in the barrel for too long, it may cause plastic scorching, causing the product to change color, decompose and other problems.
3. Fluctuation of extrusion pressure:
It may be due to filter blockage, insufficient feeding, unstable screw speed, improper barrel temperature setting, or unreasonable design of the die and mold.
4. Main motor overload:
It is usually caused by excessive feed volume, increased friction resistance between the screw and the barrel (such as screw wear, barrel inner wall wear), transmission system failure, poor material plasticization leading to increased torque, etc.
5. Screw breakage:
may be caused by unreasonable screw design, material defects, overload operation, long-term wear, foreign matter intrusion, etc.
6. Heating system failure:
such as heating element damage, temperature controller failure, thermocouple failure, etc., resulting in uneven barrel heating or failure to reach the set temperature.
7. Die leakage:
may be caused by poor sealing between the die and the barrel, excessive die pressure, mold design defects or wear, etc.
