What is the relationship between the temperature of the confluence core and the plasticization degree of the wood-plastic material?
Generally speaking, lowering the temperature of the confluence core can increase the plasticization degree of the wood-plastic material, while raising the temperature of the confluence core will reduce the plasticization degree of the wood-plastic material.
This is because the fluidity of plastic materials (such as PVC) will increase when the temperature is higher, and when the temperature is lowered, its fluidity will slow down. So when we lower the temperature of the confluence core, the flow of the material at the confluence core will slow down, thereby generating extrusion pressure, which can increase the plasticization degree of the wood-plastic material.
However, the amplitude of changing the plasticization degree by adjusting the temperature of the confluence core is relatively small, and there is a certain rule for fine-tuning. For example, if the temperature of the fourth zone of the extruder barrel is 170℃, the temperature of the confluence core can be set to 160℃. We recommend that the temperature of the confluence core should not be lower than the extruder barrel temperature by more than 10℃.
It should be noted that the plasticization degree is also affected by other factors, such as the temperature of the fuselage and screw, the feeding rate, the speed of the extruder, and the properties and formula of the raw materials. In actual production, various factors need to be considered comprehensively to achieve the required plasticization degree and product quality. At the same time, different plastic materials may have different properties, and the relationship between temperature and plasticization degree may also be different.
