The brittle profile produced by PVC profile extruder may be caused by the following reasons:
1. Raw material problem:
The quality of PVC resin is poor, such as uneven molecular weight distribution and insufficient purity.
The type, dosage or quality of additives (such as stabilizers, lubricants, reinforcers, etc.) is inappropriate, which affects the mechanical properties of profiles.
2. Extrusion process problem:
Extrusion temperature is too high or too low. Too high a temperature may cause the material to decompose, reducing its strength; If the temperature is too low, the material may be poorly plasticized and a good molecular chain structure cannot be formed.
The extrusion speed is too fast, so that the profiles are not fully fused and crystallized before cooling, and there are internal stresses.
3. Mold design problems:
The flow channel design of the mold is unreasonable, resulting in uneven flow of the material in the extrusion process, resulting in internal structural defects of the profile.
The cooling effect of the mold is not good, and the cooling of the profile is not uniform, resulting in internal stress.
4. Traction speed problem:
Traction speed is too fast, the profile is over-stretched, internal cracks, resulting in easy to break.
5. Formula problem:
The proportion of filling material in the formula is too high, which reduces the toughness and strength of the profile.
6. Equipment failure:
The screw of the extruder is seriously worn, resulting in uneven material mixing and plasticization.
7. Improper drying:
The PVC raw material is not dry enough, contains moisture, and produces bubbles during the extrusion process, affecting the strength of the profile.
8. Post-processing problems:
In the subsequent storage and use of the profile, the environmental temperature, humidity and other conditions are not suitable, resulting in changes in the performance of the profile.
