What are the recycling methods of waste rubber tubes?

2024-09-02

The recycling methods of waste rubber pipes are mainly as follows:

Original transformation

The original shape of the waste rubber tube is used again after a slight transformation, as follows:

1. For some large caliber and good quality rubber pipes, they can be transformed into protective sleeves. For example, in construction sites, it can be placed outside cables, pipes, etc., to protect against wear and collision.

2. Cut the waste rubber pipe to a suitable length, and use it as a sealing pad or cushion after simple treatment. For example, at the joints of mechanical equipment, its elasticity and tightness can be used to prevent leaks and reduce vibration.

Recycled rubber

Through a certain process to make waste rubber tubes into recycled rubber:

1. First of all, the waste rubber tube is crushed to make it into a fine particle. Then a process such as desulfurization is used to destroy the cross-linked structure in the rubber and make it plastic again.

2. After refining and other subsequent processing steps, recycled rubber is obtained. Recycled rubber can be used to produce a variety of rubber products, such as rubber MATS, rubber soles, rubber tubes and so on. Although the performance may be slightly lower than that of new rubber, it can still meet the requirements of use in many areas.

Pyrolysis recovery

1. Pyrolysis is the decomposition of waste rubber tubes into gas, liquid and solid products under high temperature, anaerobic or anoxic conditions. Gas products are mainly combustible gases such as hydrogen and methane, which can be used as energy sources. The liquid products are mainly oil, which can be used as fuel or chemical raw materials; The solid products are mainly carbon black and steel wire, etc., which can be used respectively in the production of rubber products, ink, etc., and the steel industry.

2. Pyrolysis technology can realize efficient recycling of waste rubber tubes and reduce environmental pollution. However, this technology requires high equipment investment and operating costs, and strict process control requirements.

Rubber powder production

1. The waste rubber tube is made into rubber powder by mechanical crushing and other methods. The particle size of rubber powder can be adjusted according to different needs, generally divided into coarse rubber powder, fine rubber powder and ultra-fine rubber powder.

2. Rubber powder can be directly applied to the production of rubber products as a filler or modifier to reduce costs and improve performance. For example, in rubber runway, rubber floor tile and other products, rubber powder can increase the elasticity and wear resistance of the product. In addition, rubber powder can also be used in road construction as a modifier of asphalt to improve the performance of pavement.
