Plastic recycling shredder parts maintenance and replacement

2024-07-26

The repair and replacement of parts of the plastic recycling shredder is very important for the normal operation and efficient work of the equipment.

Common parts that require repair and replacement include:

blade

Maintenance: Check the wear degree of the blade, and for minor wear, grinding and cutting edge repair can be carried out.

Replacement: If the blade is severely worn, chipped, broken or fails to achieve the expected shredding effect, a new blade needs to be replaced. For example, the edge of the blade has been severely passivated and cannot effectively shred the plastic to the required size.

Cutter spindle

Maintenance: Check the tool shaft for bending, deformation or surface wear. For minor surface wear, repair treatment can be carried out.

Replacement: When the tool shaft is seriously bent, deformed or cracked, it must be replaced with a new tool shaft to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment.

Reduction gear

Maintenance: Regularly check the oil level and oil products of the reducer, and timely replace the deteriorated lubricating oil. Check gear wear condition, if there is slight wear can be repaired.

Replacement: If the internal gear of the reducer is seriously worn, broken teeth or abnormal noise and vibration, the reducer needs to be replaced.

Electric machine

Maintenance: Clean the dust and debris on the surface of the motor, and check whether the wiring of the motor is loose.

Replacement: When the motor overheating, burning, winding short circuit and other failures, need to replace the new motor.

Conveyor belt

Maintenance: Adjust the tightness of the conveyor belt, repair the damage and cracks of the conveyor belt.

Replacement: If the conveyor belt is seriously worn, broken or aged, and cannot transport materials normally, a new conveyor belt needs to be replaced.

To determine whether these parts need to be repaired and replaced, you can do the following:

Visual inspection

Directly observe the appearance of the parts to see if there is obvious damage, deformation, cracks, etc.

Performance monitoring

Pay attention to the shredder's work efficiency and shredding effect. If the output decreases and the size of the material after shredding does not meet the requirements, it may be a problem with the blade or other key components.

Sound and vibration judgment

Listen to the sound of the device when it is running, unusual noise or excessive vibration may indicate a fault in a component.

For example, in a large plastic recycling plant, technicians found that the blade of the shredder wore unevenly through regular inspection, and replaced and adjusted it in time to ensure the stable operation and efficient production of the equipment.
